Longing
In the quiet of the night, I search for my calling. Longing for a purpose, my heart keeps on falling. Striving a dream that seems forever out of reach. Yearning for that tricky truth, I strain to teach. Aching to achieve, what has yet to be attained. Longing for a liking, that can never be regained. Yearning for the ties with someone I'll never meet. Longing for a destiny that feels so obsolete. Like a ship lost at sea, I keep looking for a solid ground. Looking for answers, that may never be found. I search within, a longing deep inside my soul. Hoping for a purpose that will make me whole.
